The responsibilities of a clerk-treasurer in today's public library encompass a myriad of tasks. Clerk-treasurers are engaged in all activities of the library and every aspect of its financial operations. To assist clerk-treasurers with their responsibilities, the Ohio Library Council has revised the Ohio Public Library Clerk-Treasurer's Handbook. This third edition has been renamed the Ohio Public Library Accounting Handbook and has been updated to include all of the latest regulations and policies that could potentially impact library finances.
A complimentary copy of the handbook was distributed to all Ohio clerk-treasurers on CD-ROM in September 2007.
