OLC Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the Adult Services Division is to provide information regarding library services for adults to all library staff, directors, trustees, and Friends. This division, in conjunction with OLC, provides a forum for discussion of the issues and concerns relating to adult services work.

1. To continue to see candidates from all types of libraries [rural, urban, suburban] for elective positions within the division and to maintain representation from around the state.

2. To propose, plan, and support joint activities with other library organizations and OLC divisions in areas of mutual interest.

3. To design and deliver programs for OLC conferences, chapter, biennial, and special events.

4. To listen to the membership and determine the best ways to meet their needs.

5. To continue to promote the division to OLC members and non-members.

6. To maintain a web presence.
