TESTIMONIALS

C. Allen Nichols --
Director
Ella M. Everhard Public Library - Wadsworth

In today's political environment, it is important for library employees at all levels to be aware of issues affecting libraries in Ohio. OLC membership facilitates that awareness, while also providing myriad opportunities for professional development aimed at improving service to our customers. It's well worth the cost!

Mary Pat Essman --
Director
Lane Public Library - Hamilton

In 1989, the Lane Trustees initiated the benefit of paying for staff's OLC memberships as a tangible way to encourage and support professional development.  This involvement has proven to be a benefit not only to the staff but to the library system and the its users  -  truly a win/win/win!

Georgiana Huizenga --
Director
Harris-Elmore Public Library - Elmore

Our library has been paying 100% of employee dues to OLC for over 10 years. Our Board feels that the advantage given our staff to attend conferences and workshops is well worth the extra expense. Even if the majority of our staff only attend Chapter Conference, when it is combined with the publications and support, we find it is money well spent.

Betty Clarkson--
Director
Dr. Samuel L. Bossard Memorial Library - Gallipolis

The Gallia County District Library (Dr. Samuel L. Bossard Memorial Library) pays 100% to encourage communication between and among library employees. The library further encourages employees to participate at all levels of continuing education, to be involved in OLC chapter activities, and to attend programs and conferences. Here in rural Gallia County, we nurture our readers from the seed to harvest.
