OLC Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the Marketing and Public Relations Division is to provide its members with opportunities to share ideas and exchange information on projects, strategies, current trends and issues related to marketing and public relations and libraries.

  • Increase the resources on and the use of the division's Google site as a method to share marketing projects and ideas.
  • Develop tactics and programs to support advocacy and the OLC strategic focus.
  • Utilize the division's brief email message "Marketing Minute" to share current trends and issues relating to marketing in libraries.
  • Nominate candidates for action council who represent a variety of experience, library types and areas of the state.

The Annual Report provides a record of Marketing and Public Relations Division's accomplishments based on the goals and objectives for the year.
