The purpose of the Ohio Library Council Legislative Network is to support the work of the Ohio Library Council in its lobbying efforts on behalf of public libraries. The goals of the Ohio Library Council Legislative Network are:
- To facilitate coordination of library lobbying efforts on a local senate district level.
- To provide leadership and training on appropriate lobbying techniques.
- To support and enhance the efforts of local libraries in increasing their communication with legislators.
- To develop a strong network of information about legislators and other local government officials.
- To expand library contacts with local media sources.
