As a sponsor of a workers' compensation group rating program, the Ohio Library Council is responsible for informing and educating its program participants about the importance of worker safety. The OLC, together with its third-party administrator, the Frank Gates Service Co., and the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation has created a number of resources that library administrators can use to educate themselves and their staff about important safety issues.

BWC Consultant Services
The Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation maintains local customer service offices throughout the state to make it easier for Ohio libraries to take advantage of injury-prevention services. Specializing in safety, industrial hygiene and ergonomics, BWC consultants will provide on-site services for your library.
The success of any safety effort depends on leadership's commitment, involvement and support. Making the commitment to employee safety as a part of your overall library's operations will reinforce the efforts of BWC safety consultants. BWC Education Resources
The Ohio BWC's Division of Safety and Hygiene offers a number of education resources, including Web-based training classes. Employees can learn at their pace, in their own work environment.
