With many public libraries in Ohio facing budget decreases, Human Resource departments are looking for ways to make cuts across the board. Join us for a demonstration of Moodle (Modular Object Oriented Dynamic Learning Environment). Moodle is an open source course management system and has typical features of an e-learning platform. Moodle can be used in many types of environments such as education, training and development and business settings. View the Washington-Centerville Public Library's Moodle Intranet website and learn how to design a template, choose a theme and develop courses.

Speakers:
Rene Magary has been working at the Washington-Centerville Public Library for nearly ten years. She started her career at the library in the Human Resources Department as an HR Assistant and progressed to HR Information Specialist. Rene now serves as the Webmaster in the Community Relations Department. Her background includes work in various industries including healthcare (Miami Valley Hospital, Bethesda Hospital), insurance (MetLife) and information technology (NCR).
Robin Poffenberger has worked at the Washington-Centerville Public Library as the Systems Manager for six years. She has a Computer Science degree from Miami University and has worked in various Information Technology positions including Help Desk, Electronic Data Interchange Specialist, Programmer and Management in the manufacturing (Pioneer) and healthcare (Middletown Regional Hospital).
