OLC Purpose and Objectives

The purpose of the Young Adult Services Division is to encourage all library organizations in Ohio to advocate for teens.

1.  Nominate candidates for division leadership from all types of libraries, all levels of experience, and all areas of the state.

2. Promote recognition of teen services as a unique and vital aspect of library service.

3. Explore and utilize current technology to provide cost-effective continuing education opportunities and resources to Ohio 's teen librarians.

4. Continue to promote and implement the James Cook Book Award Celebrating Diversity in Teen Literature.
