The City of Woodstock is accepting applications for a full-time Reference/General Services Librarian at the newly renovated Woodstock Public Library.

This position will be responsible for providing reference, outreach, and programming services to both children and adults. Woodstock is a dynamic community, proud of its history, located in the heart of the fastest growing county in the state. The library serves a population of 32,000 city and rural residents 65 miles northwest of Chicago.

Specific Duties include: reference for children and adults, programming and promoting services for Spanish speaking patrons, Spanish language collection development, and personalized homebound delivery. The successful candidate will also instruct library patrons in the use of the library computer catalog, Internet, and other technology.

Minimum qualifications: MLS from an accredited ALA program; ability to speak, read, and write Spanish fluently. Knowledge of computer applications and web page management highly desirable. Starting salary: $33,356 with excellent benefits package.
