Many libraries are actively recruiting minority librarians, a trend reflected in the sample job descriptions. These are actual past job postings from various libraries. University of Illinois Library at Urbana-Champaign - Outreach Librarian for Multicultural Services
Selby (FL) Public Library - Hispanic Services Librarian.
Queens (NY) Library - Manager - International Resource Center.
Multnomah County (OR) Library - Bilingual Spanish Youth Librarian.
Ocean County (NJ) Library - Librarian or Senior Librarian. This position is responsible for organizing and implementing outreach initiatives that support OCL's diversity commitment.
Minneapolis Public Library - Bilingual Outreach Liaison (Spanish Language). This library used near-identical job descriptions to recruit Somali and Hmong speaking library staffers.

Woodstock Public Library (IL) - Reference/General Services Librarian, Spanish-speaking
University of Tennessee Libraries - Minority Librarian Residency Program at the University of Tennessee Libraries.
San Diego Public Libraries - City of San Diego Librarians I, II, III, and IV. The San Diego Public Library provides a pay differental for second language proficiency. "Some positions may require bilingual communication skills in Indochinese or Spanish and English, for which an additional $0.60 an hour will be paid."
