Closing General Session Resources - Artie Isaac
"I wish everyone great success — and moments of true engagement in life. I hope our paths cross again and soon. I promised to follow-up with several items."
Here they are:
- Carry Forth, a way to plan a creative adventure or lifetime legacy
- Go Artie!, the 53-minute brainstorm tool
- My promises, which I hereby pledge to everyone I meet
- My blog, on creativity, ethics and life
- My bookshelf, with titles that promote creativity
- How to Design a Brainstorm
- My creativity syllabus from the business school at Ohio State University
- And the poem from Thich Nhat Hanh
- Breathing in, I relax my body.
Breathing out, I smile.
Dwelling in the present moment,
This is a wonderful moment.
Like much poetry, it is deceptively simple. Let's break it down. Breathing in, I relax my body. That's easy enough. Let's do it together. Breathing in, I relax my body.
Breathing out, I smile.
It's not one of those broad smiles. It's a smile like Mona Lisa's. Like the Buddha's. A smile that says, "I know something. Perhaps it is just that I know I am breathing." A smile that is enough to make your body think you are happy about something.
Let's try. Smile.
The last two lines are more conceptual:
Dwelling in the present moment,
This is a wonderful moment.
This just states that life is lived in the present. And this moment is a wonderful moment.
