| Honor Roll Libraries
Ohio public libraries, as well as library-related organizations and agencies
(e.g., regional library systems, State Library) are encouraged
to become institutional members of the Ohio Library Council. Public libraries are
billed annually with the dues structure based on their PLF distribution. All other
institutional members are billed annually for their dues at a flat rate of
$250.00. Public libraries receive a variety of benefits, including the benefit of
OLC's lobbying efforts. All institutional members receive OLC publications
at discounted rates.

- Government relations and lobbying for library funding through the PLF
- Federal and state advocacy on legislative issues impacting libraries and their patrons
- Monthly PLF distribution notices
- Advice on library levy elections, library construction issues, audit and financial issues
- Free initial consultation on public library law

- Group insurance coverage for workers compensation and health insurance, group term life insurance, voluntary life insurance and long-term care insurance, for libraries and their employees
- Professional development opportunities for trustees through the OLC Convention, various conferences and subject-specific workshops
- Workshop registration fees at member rate for all library employees and trustees
- Subscription to Access, OLC's weekly member e- newsletter
- Access to Members-only sections of the OLC Web site including news, legislative information, and unit resources
- Monitoring and assistance in intellectual freedom challenges
- Workshops for library personnel, trustees, and friends on intellectual freedom issues
- Trustees of public libraries that are OLC institutional members are entitled to the benefits of individual membership
