1/29/07 ALA Legislative Day
The American Library Association's National Library Legislative Day is your opportunity to tell Senators and Representatives about the great programs and activities taking place at your library. The event schedule includes:
- Pre-conference event (optional), April 30: "Introduction to National Library Legislative Day: Why Your Participation is Important; What to Do and How to Do It," ALA Washington Office, 1615 New Hampshire Ave, NW, First Floor, Washington, DC
- Legislative Briefing Day, May 1 - Holiday Inn on the Hill, 415 New Jersey Ave., N.W., Washington, DC
- National Library Legislative Day, May 2 - Capitol Hill, Washington, DC - Walk the halls of Capitol Hill and bring important messages from the library community to members of Congress. A congressional reception will follow your visits from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
