PRESIDENT: Margaret Danziger, Toledo-Lucas County Public Library
Margaret Danziger is the Deputy Director of the Toledo-Lucas County Public Library (1985-present). Her previous positions at the library include Business Department Manager and Cataloger. She also was Acquisitions Librarian at the University of Illinois and Circulation Librarian at Cornell University. |
| She received her Master of Library Science from the University of Illinois, a bachelor's degree in music education from the College of Wooster and a bachelor's degree in music from Bowling Green State University. She has served on many OLA/OLC committees including being Co-Chair of the Technology Task Force for OLC's Library Futures Initiative and was chosen as OLC's 2005 Librarian of the Year. She has also served on PLA committees for Legislation, Technology in Public Libraries, and Services to Multicultural Populations. She is a member of American Library Association, Public Library Association, Library Administration and Management Association, Toledo Symphony League, and Toledo Area Chamber of Commerce Government Affairs Committee. |

VICE PRESIDENT/PRESIDENT ELECT: Scott Shafer, Lima Public Library
Scott Shafer is the Director of the Lima Public Library (2000-present). His previous positions at the library include Assistant Director and Head of Public Services. Also, he was the Director of the Wellsville Carnegie Public Library before working for the Lima Public Library. |
| He received his Master of Library Science and his Bachelor of Arts from Kent State University. Shafer was Coordinator of the OLC Management and Administration Division and served on the OLC Nominating, Membership, and Legislative Committees. He begins a three-year term on the OHIONET Board in 2008. He is a member of ALA, PLA, and the ACLU. Locally, Shafer is a Charter Member of the Allen County United Tax Entities; Executive Committee member of the West Central Ohio Regional Development Round Table; and citizen member of the City of Lima Records Commission. |

SECRETARY/TREASURER: Beverly Cain, Portsmouth Public Library
Beverly Cain is the Director of the Portsmouth Public Library (1997-present). Her previous positions were Manager of the Lane Road Branch of the Upper Arlington Public Library and Manager of Reference and Adult Services for the Medina County District Library. |
| She received her Master of Library Science from Kent State University and a Bachelor of Music from the University of Akron. She is nearing completion of a Master of Public Administration from Kent State University. She has served on many OLC committees including acting as Program Chair for two OLC Annual Conferences, Co-Chair of the Measurement and Evaluation Task Force for OLC's Library Futures Initiative, and Chair of the Awards and Honors Committee. She is also active in OLC's Legislative Network. She is a member of ALA, PLA, Portsmouth Area Chamber of Commerce, Portsmouth Rotary Club, and is the principal clarinet with the Portsmouth Symphony Orchestra. |
