3/30/10 Legal Analysis: Federal Health Care Reform Legislation
OLC's legal counsel at Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease has provided an analysis 
of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act of 2010 (federal health care reform legislation) that was signed by President Obama on March 23. However, counsel cannot predict the full impact of this historic legislation or the final terms of the Reconciliation Bill. Counsel has provided a timeline for the implementation of the various provisions of the legislation that are unchanged in the Reconciliation Bill and have become law, including what happens in 90 days and the impact on plans starting after Sept. 23, 2010, as well as expected actions within one year and two years of enactment of the bill.
