05/01/06 Call for ALA Councilor Nominees
In this summer's election, OLC members will elect a new ALA Councilor. Holly Carroll, the OLC's current representative to the ALA Council, is not seeking re-election to the position. Candidates are required to be active members of the ALA and should be familiar with ALA issues. The ALA Councilor is responsible for attending the ALA Annual (June) and Midwinter (January) conferences (expenses paid by the OLC), monitoring national issues, and representing the Ohio members of the ALA. The ALA Councilor attends the meetings of the OLC Board of Directors as an ex-officio member. Interested individuals should send a brief statement of interest to Doug Evans by June 1, 2006 .
