It is especially important that ALL of the libraries in the districts represented by the members of the Senate Finance Committee attend this hearing. Jennifer Thompson, Director of the Chillicothe and Ross County Public Library, will testify on behalf of Ohio's public libraries.
As a courtesy to the Senators and the other local government association representatives who will be testifying, attendees should plan to stay for the entire hearing, which will probably last about two hours. As always, remember to wear something red!
A joint briefing lunch will be held from 12:00 to 12:45 p.m. with the other local government associations. Seating at this event is very limited . Those interested in attending this event should e-mail Lynda Murray at lmurray@olc.org . She will send a registration form if you can be accommodated.
OLC representatives will be at the Third Street (west) entrance of the Senate Office building beginning at noon to answer any questions and directions to the hearing room.
