6/15/09 Consumer Education from the Ohio Attorney General

The Ohio Library Council has partnered with Ohio Attorney General Richard Cordray's office to offer ongoing education to library staff and library customers throughout 2009. The Attorney General's staff has developed a series of free webinars to assist public library staff in educating their customers. Library staff will register on the OLC Web site and receive confirmation and instructions on how to participate in the live webinars via www.gotomeeting.com.

The first live webinar, Protect Yourself from Financial Predators, is scheduled for June 25, 2009 from 10:00-11:00 a.m. Registration for this webinar and a complete list of events is available on the OLC Web site.

In addition to the live webinars for library staff, the Attorney General's Office will publish a series of PowerPoint presentations that library staff can make accessible to their customers. The complete list of presentations is available on the OLC Web site.

If you have any questions regarding these programs, please contact OLC Director of Professional Development Chris Korenowsky (614-410-8092).
