6/29/09 Legislative Conference Committee Hearings Delayed
The Ohio Legislature's Conference Committee was scheduled to have public hearings over this past weekend to discuss amendments to the 2010-2011 state budget. A hearing originally scheduled to begin at 9:00 a.m., Sat., June 27, was postponed to 10:00 a.m. and then 7:00 p.m., Sun., June 28, and again to 7:00 p.m., Mon., June 29. It appears that the Ohio House, Senate, and the Governor's office have a number of differences – including public library funding – that need to be addressed before the budget is finalized.
