7/20/05 HB 104 Will Impact Libraries That Use Social Security Numbers
Libraries that use social security numbers are part of their patrons' records will be impacted by legislation currently being considered by the Ohio House of Representatives. House Bill 104 will require libraries that use social security numbers to notify all their patrons if the library's database security is breached. The OLC will provide more details on this legislation as soon as the notification process has been established.
