7/27/10 OLC Annual Membership Business Meeting

The Ohio Library Council will host its Annual Membership Business Meeting on Fri., Sept. 10, 2010, 9:50 a.m. (time approximate), at the Lausche Building on the grounds of the Ohio Expo Center, in conjunction with the OLC Expo and prior to the regularly-scheduled OLC Board of Directors' meeting. 

As a non-profit association, the OLC is required by state law to host an annual business meeting for its members. Currently, there are no items of business pending before the membership. Items of business for consideration at the meeting must be submitted by members in advance of the meeting, and sent to the attention of Doug Evans, Executive Director, Ohio Library Council, 1105 Schrock Rd., Ste. 440, Columbus, OH 43229, or devans@olc.org by Aug. 27, 2010.

An announcement will be made after Aug. 27 if any items of business have been submitted that require action by the membership. A quorum of the lesser of five percent of the voting membership or 100 voting members present is required for business to be transacted at the meeting. If a quorum is not present, the OLC Board of Directors will determine how to proceed with any items of business that have been submitted for consideration.
