7/27/10 Ohio Library Foundation Supports Spectrum Scholarship Initiative
The Ohio Library Foundation, on behalf of all types of libraries in Ohio, has made a $1,500 contribution to the ALA's Spectrum Scholarship Presidential Initiative. The Presidential Initiative is a campaign to raise $1 million for the Spectrum Scholarship Program to meet the critical needs of supporting master's-level scholarships, providing two $25,000 doctoral scholarships, increasing the Spectrum Endowment to ensure the program's future, and developing special programs for recruitment and career development.
The Ohio Library Foundation was established as a non-profit corporation for the purposes of promoting and facilitating library services. The OLF promotes the study and research of library services and the dissemination of knowledge for the education of library trustees, administrators, staff, and students.
