8/6/10 Health Care Reform Education Programs – Aug. 23 and Sept. 8

At its core, the federal legislation that created national Health Care Reform will have a monumental impact on employer health insurance benefits - including those provided by public libraries. Health care reform mandates apply to private and public employers, taxable and tax-exempt employers, multi-employer plans, and employers of all sizes and shapes. The challenge for any library administrator sifting through the myriad of developments is to determine which requirements apply, when they apply, and how they must be implemented.

Jolie Havens and Jennifer Bibart Dunsizer from Vorys, Sater, Seymour, and Pease will present an education program - National Health Care Reform: What Do I Have To Do, and When Do I Have To Do It? - organized in chronological order based on health care reform implementation deadlines, to assist Ohio libraries in understanding the basic employee health benefits developments ushered in by health care reform, as well as practical business and legal considerations related to those developments.

Registration fees are $50 for staff of OLC Institutional Member libraries and $100 for staff of non-member libraries. Make plans now to attend one of two sessions:

Mon., Aug. 23 - 1 to 4 p.m. - Register

Wed., Sept. 8 - 1 to 4 p.m. - Register

Both sessions will be held at the State Library of Ohio, 274 E. First Ave., Columbus.
