8/28/07 LJ 's “Ohio Day of Dialog” to Precede OLC Convention and Expo
Library Journal, in partnership with the OLC and Columbus Metropolitan Library, brings to Ohio its Day of Dialog, a free program for the public library community that includes a panel discussion about the writing/publishing process. The event will be held at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, Tuesday, October 9, the day before the start of the OLC Convention and Expo.
The program will feature author David Giffels (All the Way Home) and his team from William Morrow; an intimate conversation with best-selling author Jennifer Crusie (Crazy for You and Agnes and the Hitman) on the arts and crafts of writing; giveaway goodie bags filled with books and galleys; lunch; and a closing wine reception.
Throughout the day attendees get up close and personal presentations of hot books for winter and spring 2008 and essential health books from publishing insiders to help plan library orders.
The Columbus Metropolitan Library main branch is at 96 S. Grant Ave., Columbus . The program schedule includes: 11:30 a.m. - registration and lunch; 12:30 p.m. - publisher presentations and panel discussions; and 6:00 p.m. - wine and hors d'oeuvres reception.
Note: This event is not included in the OLC Convention and Expo registration. Day of Dialog registrants who are attending the OLC Convention and Expo should adjust their hotel reservations accordingly.
