9/5/06 Coming to Columbus: ALA's Lawyers for Libraries

The ALA's Lawyers for Libraries training program will he held on November 3rd at the Columbus Metropolitan Library, 96 S. Grant Ave, Columbus. Lawyers for Libraries, an ongoing project of the ALA 's Office for Intellectual Freedom, is designed to build a nationwide network of attorneys committed to the defense of the First Amendment freedom to read and the application of constitutional law to library policies, principles, and problems. Library directors and their legal counsel are encouraged to attend. Online registration is available.

Please note : For your convenience, the ALA 's Lawyers for Libraries program will be held the day after the OLC's Management and Administration Conference, Nov. 1-2, in Columbus .
