9/13/06 Forecast for 2007 Library Budgets

Many libraries are preparing their budgets for 2007 and have inquired regarding projected state library funding in the coming year. As a result of the current biennium budget, library funding will remain frozen for the first six months of 2007. The OLC is optimistic that there will be some modest growth in the second half of the year as a result of the passage of the '08-'09 state budget in June 2007.
