10/12/09 State Auditor to Host Summit on Local Government Sustainability
Ohio Auditor of State Mary Taylor will host the Summit on Local Government Sustainability – Strategies and Solutions in a Time of Fiscal Crisis, Thurs., Nov. 19, 9:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., at the Athenaeum in Columbus. Program topics include:
- when government should expect a revenue turn around;
- what's allowable in regard to transfers, advances and manuscript debt;
- a fiscal watch and fiscal emergency survival guide;
- gaining efficiencies today to eliminate problems tomorrow;
- discovering a hidden management tool in your financial statement;
- the how's and why's of forecasting; and
- a report from the Commission on Local Government Reform and Collaboration, involving Lynda Murray, OLC Director of Government and Legal Services.
