The Public Library of Tomorrow (2005) 26--minute video

In April 2005, PBS stations throughout Ohio broadcast a half-hour program called "The Public Library of Tomorrow." The program presents a brief history of libraries, and quickly explores today's "digital divide," revealing the library at the center of the information superstructure. The objective of the program is to inform and provoke a deep level of discussion and debate about the future of public libraries in our nation. The program includes interviews with David McCullough, Pulitzer Prize-winning author and historian; Larry Weber, creator of the world's largest public relations organization, Weber Shandwick Worldwide; Lev Gonick, Vice President for Information Technology Services at Case Western Reserve University; and many library users throughout Ohio.
The project was funded by the Ohio Library Foundation and produced by Cleveland-based production company, Glazen Creative Studios (www.glazen.com) under the direction of Ron Goldfarb.
