What is "Training @ OLC?"
"Training @ OLC" is a series of programs featuring topics of perennial interest to public library staff. Classes will be offered in the training room at OLC's Easton location throughout the course of the year.
There are several member-focused benefits for this series:
- Classes will be limited to 25 participants for maximum interaction with the instructor and other attendees
- Instructors are either professional trainers/presenters or knowledgeable members of the Ohio library community
- Access to the Easton location from I-270 is easy and parking is free
- All classes will begin at 10:00 a.m. to help avoid early morning departures for those attending from a distance and dismiss by 3:30 p.m. to allow participants to get ahead of the Columbus rush-hour traffic or to spend an hour or two shopping at Easton Town Center
- With lowered overhead costs afforded by using our own meeting space, OLC continues its efforts to keep registration fees affordable and competitive
- For those participating in OLC's Certification Program, each class will provide six hours of continuing education credit
"Training @ OLC" workshops are designated in the electronic calendar with Red Title Headings. The series proved to be very popular with most programs selling out quickly. Early enrollment is encouraged.
